Review by hotel critic
I recently spent a good Easter weekend at Gästehaus Und Weingut Bernd Frieden with my girlfriend, soaking in the charm of this family-run guest house nestled in the stunning Mosel Valley. With just six cozy rooms, the intimate atmosphere really enhanced our experience; our room was modern and offered a lovely seating area where we could unwind after a day of hiking and exploring the local wineries. The amazing views of the river from our balcony were the perfect backdrop for a romantic getaway, and the warm hospitality from our hosts made us feel right at home. Our mornings started with a fantastic continental breakfast, followed by delicious wine tastings from their own vineyard, which made for a nice culinary journey. A quick stroll to the Nittel Train Station, just 100 meters away, made it super convenient for us to explore nearby Trier, one of Europe's oldest cities. While we had minor WiFi issues, it hardly mattered-we were too captivated by the beautiful surroundings and the wonderful company to care. If you're a wine lover, I can't recommend this spot enough; the entire village is brimming with wineries just waiting to be discovered!
